Add a property

Every listing in DoorSpot starts with a property. Adding a property is the first step to building inventory and organizing units. Once a property is added, you can easily attach units, create custom fields, add tags, and track income and expenses.

Properties can represent multi-family or single-family.

  • For multi-family properties, start by adding the property and indicating how many units are associated. Then, add each unit under that property.
  • For single-family homes, the unit is created automatically when you add the property. No additional unit entry is required.

Use Tags for Easy Organization

Tags help you group, filter, and search your properties and units efficiently.

They’re especially useful for categorizing listings by features like local amenities, location, or availability.

You can add as many tags as needed to each property and unit. Tags might be phrases like Smart Stay, a school rating, a neighborhood name, or the local hospital.

Why Use Tags?

  • Organize units by feature, location, or use case.
  • Search and filter your listings faster.
  • Group units into portfolios based on shared characteristics

Keep your tags consistent and descriptive to get the most value from this flexible tool.
